You inscribe a 2-meter-radius glyph on a surface or within an object that can be closed to conceal the glyph. The glyph is nearly invisible and requires a successful Perception skill check contested by your Magic skill to be found.

Starting from your next turn, you can trigger the glyph as a free action. When triggered, the glyph erupts with elemental energy in a 2-meter-radius sphere centered on the glyph. Each creature in the area must make a Reflex defend roll contested by your Magic skill. On a failure, the target takes elemental damage of the chosen type equal to the margin of failure.

Stunts

Delayed Detonation

When inscribing the rune, you may spend 1 additional mana to set a specific trigger condition such as movement, sound, or magical presence. The glyph will then activate automatically when the condition is met.

Engraved Precision

You may shrink the glyph to 1 meter radius and embed it onto an object (e.g., a weapon, coin, or door handle). This makes the glyph harder to detect and may enable clever traps or delivery methods.

Double Bind

You may inscribe two glyphs at once when casting the spell, each with its own triggering condition.

Runic Empowerment

Double the radius of the explosion to 4 meters.

Silent Eruption

When the rune is triggered, you may choose to suppress all sound and light from the explosion. This allows the damage to occur without alerting nearby enemies or disrupting stealth operations.
