Range

Duration

Mana Cost
2 (base), scalable

Choose one creature, object, or magical effect within 40 meters of you. Any spell on the target that you are capable of casting automatically ends. For all other magical effects, make a Magic skill check contested by the spell level of each effect. On a success, the spell is dispelled.

If you spend an additional mana beyond the base cost, you gain a +1 bonus to your Magic skill check per extra two mana spent.

Stunts

Arcane Sight

After casting Dispel Magic, you gain magical sight for the next minute. You can see the auras of any active spell effects within 10 meters.

Spellshatter

When you successfully dispel a magical barrier or enchantment, the target takes 1d6 elemental damage of your choice per spell level of the dispelled effect (if the spell had a tangible presence, like a magical shield or prison).

Backlash Nullification

If you successfully dispel a spell affecting an ally, they gain +2 to defend against magic for the next turn, as the feedback disrupts further effects.

Counter Spell

You can use Dispel Magic as a reaction. Roll your Magic skill against the spell level. On a success, you can choose to spend an amount of mana equal to the mana cost of the spell you want to counter to dispel it.

Disenchanting Touch

If you touch a magical item when casting Dispel Magic, you can suppress its effects for 1 minute instead of dispelling a spell. Useful for disabling cursed or dangerous relics temporarily.
