You imprint a sigil of denial on a creature you can see within 30 meters. The mark is invisible to all but you. The marked creature does not know it has been marked.
The first time the marked creature makes an attack roll or skill check before the spell ends, it does so with Disadvantage. After the penalty has been applied once, the mark is consumed and the spell ends.
Stunts
Persistent Denial
The mark is not consumed after the first application. Instead, it applies Disadvantage once per turn to the marked creature’s attacks for a number of turns equal to your Magic skill.
Double Mark
You may mark two creatures simultaneously when casting this spell by paying 1 additional Mana. Each mark functions independently.
Branded
The mark becomes visible to all creatures as a faint glowing rune, not just you. The marked creature is aware it has been marked. In exchange, you also learn the exact location of the marked creature at all times for the spell’s duration, even through walls.
Shattering Refusal
When the mark triggers and the marked creature fails the penalized roll, it also suffers a -1 penalty to all skill rolls until the start of its next turn, as the magical rebuke disrupts its form.
Redirected Mark
Once per scene, you may transfer an active Mark of Refusal from its current target to a different creature within 30 meters as a free action.
