You attempt to suppress strong emotions in a creature. Choose a creature you can see within 10 meters. The target must make a Resolve defend roll contested by your Magic skill. On a failure, the target becomes calm and non-hostile for the duration (does not require the Mental Stress Pool to be at 0). It will not take aggressive actions and avoids conflict. The effect ends early if the creature is attacked, harmed by a spell, or sees an ally being harmed.
Stunts
Pacifying Presence
While Calm is active on a creature, nearby hostile creatures within 5 meters of the target suffer -1 to attack rolls as long as they can see the calmed target.
Lingering Tranquility
When Calm ends naturally (not due to violence), the affected creature suffers Disadvantage on hostile actions against you for 1 minute.
Mass Soothing
Spend 3 additional Mana to attempt to calm up to three creatures within range. Each must make separate contested Resolve checks.
Subtle Calm
The target is unaware that magic was used.
Peaceful Anchor
As long as you maintain Concentration on Calm, you gain +2 to Resolve defend rolls against fear, charm, or emotional manipulation effects.
