Spell Stunts
Spell stunts enhance a character’s spellcasting prowess, enabling them to manipulate, modify, and empower their spells in unique ways. These stunts are designed to expand the tactical options available to spellcasters, allowing them to adapt their magic to various challenges and environments. Spell stunts are exclusive to those with access to the Magic skill and can dramatically shift the outcome of both combat and exploration.
Source note: The handbook defines Sleet Storm stunts but does not define a base Sleet Storm spell. They are preserved under Spells without inventing spell statistics.
Sleet Storm Stunts
- Freezing Focus
- You may choose to spend 1 additional mana when casting. Creatures in the area also suffer a -1 penalty to all movement-related rolls for the duration of the spell.
- Icebound Trap
- When a creature fails its reflex check and falls prone, you may force that creature to also become restrained until it succeeds an additional Reflex check on a future turn.
- Chilling Smother
- The storm now extinguishes magical flames as well as mundane ones. Spend 1 additional mana to suppress magical light sources or fire-based effects of level 3 or lower within the storm.
- Glacial Anchor
- While concentrating on this spell, you may ignore all movement penalties caused by difficult terrain within the affected area.
- Stormcaller’s Sight
- You can see clearly within your own Sleet Storm as if it were not obscured, and you gain +2 to ranged spell attacks made against targets inside the area.
