You wrap your will around yourself like hardened shell, manifesting an invisible barrier of compressed force. The ward does not glow or announce itself — it simply exists, patient, waiting to be needed.

The next time you take Physical damage before the spell ends, reduce that damage by an amount equal to your Magic skill. After absorbing damage once, the ward is consumed and the spell ends.

Stunts

Layered Shell

When you cast Force Ward, the ward absorbs damage twice before it is consumed. The second absorption also reduces damage by your Magic skill.

Warding Rebound

When the ward absorbs damage, the creature that dealt it takes Physical damage equal to half the amount absorbed (rounded down) as the force snaps back.

Extended Shell

You may cast Force Ward on a willing creature you can touch instead of yourself. All other rules apply normally.

Reactive Barrier

You may cast Force Ward as a Reaction when you are about to take damage, provided you have not already used a Reaction this turn.

Fortified Mind

Force Ward also reduces the triggering Mental damage by your Magic skill when it absorbs. You choose which damage type it absorbs when the trigger occurs.
