You send negative energy coursing through a creature that you can see within 20 meters of you, causing it searing pain. The target must make a Fortitude defend roll contested by your Magic skill. On a failure, the creature takes necrotic damage equal to the margin of failure. A humanoid creature killed by this spell rises at the start of your next turn as a zombie that is permanently under your command, following your verbal orders to the best of its ability. The zombie’s physical skills, such as Fortitude, Might, Reflex, Stride, Fight, and Shoot, are equal to your Magic level, and you can have a maximum of zombies equal to your Resolve skill level provided by this spell.

Stunts

Mark of the Grave

When you cast Finger of Death, you may apply a Death Mark to the target. If the target fails the roll and survives, it gains -2 to all defend rolls against necrotic effects for the rest of the scene.

Lingering Agony

On a failed save, the target also takes 1d6 necrotic damage at the start of its next turn. This lingering effect can stack if affected multiple times.

Corpse Bound Servant

When a creature is killed by Finger of Death and rises as a zombie, you may increase its skills (Fortitude, Might, Fight, Reflex, Stride) by one.

Soul Fracture

If the target is already under the effect of another necromancy spell, you deal an additional +2 necrotic damage per level of that spell.

Twilight Bloom

When a creature is killed by Finger of Death, you may choose to explode its corpse in a 3-meter radius, dealing 1d12 necrotic damage to all creatures in the area (except yourself). This consumes the corpse and prevents zombification.
