Advancement
Characters grow by spending Experience Points (EXP). The GM awards EXP at the end of a session, usually 1 or 2.
-
Skills: raise a trained skill one step for EXP equal to the new rating. Going from +2 to +3 costs 3 EXP, the same as in character creation. The highest trained rating is +7. Class Points follow your Skill Total, so check them after every raise.
-
Stunts: a new skill stunt or spell stunt costs 1 EXP. You must meet its requirement.
-
Specializations: a second specialization in Crafts, Drive, Fight, or Shoot costs 1 EXP.
-
Spells: an additional spell costs EXP equal to its level, up to your Focus limit (see Spells).
-
Weapon Mastery: the next Mastery level costs EXP equal to that level (see Weapon Techniques and Mastery).
