Spell Keywords
Flexible
When you cast a ‘flexible’ spell, you can choose to spent extra mana. Total mana you spend on a spell cannot exceed your related Magic skill. The potency of the spell increases as you spend more mana.
Concentration
You can only concentrate on one spell at any given time. Whenever you take damage while you are concentrating on a spell, you must make a Will skill check againt half the damage you take to maintain your Concentration. If you become incapacitated or killed, you lose your concentration.
Ritual
You can cast spells as Rituals by spending the extra time required. When you cast a spell as Ritual, you can gain extra benefits given in the spell description.
Elemental
Whenever you cast an ‘Elemental’ spell, choose an elemental damage type. The spell will apply an additional effect based on the chosen element as follows:
- Fire: The target takes an additional 1d4 Fire damage.
- Frost: The target loses movement equal to the Frost damage it receives.
- Lightning: The target has -1 penalty on its next action for every 3 Lightning damage it receives.
